FarmRaiser does not rent, sell, or share personal information collected from registered account holders in connection with your use of the service with third parties. FarmRaiser may, however, make inquiries, either directly or through third parties, to validate the registration information provided by Teachers and Parents in order to prevent misrepresentation and fraud on the site.

We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as shipping your order or offering customer service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

If you are a customer-supporter and have accessed FarmRaiser website or mobile application to purchase a product or make a cash donation, FarmRaiser will collect personal identification needed to process your payment and deliver products that you ordered. FarmRaiser will also require an email address to process your order that may be shared with the farmers and merchants (Partners) that supplied the products you purchased. If those companies contact you in reference to the products you purchased, you will have the choice to opt out of receiving any future contact from that Partner. FarmRaiser may also use your email address to share our periodic newsletter or inform you about upcoming FarmRaiser campaigns associated with the cause(s) you supported. You will be given the choice to opt out of receiving these updates.

We may also disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

We use a Stripe.com to process payments and donations. We are PCI compliant. All credit card information entered is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, assuming that you have selected the secure server method and that your browser supports this functionality. Regardless, no data transmission over the public Internet is ever guaranteed to be 100% secure.

The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Prizes

Registered account holders that sell products or solicit cash donations through the FarmRaiser website may earn incentive points that can be used to purchase prize incentives such as music and game downloads or gift cards. A third party administer may manage this service and will collect personal information including email address and full name in order to process the order.

We may update this privacy statement to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this Site prior to the change becoming effective.
